Character Design Guesture

Character Design Gesture Sheets I Really enjoyed doing the Gesture sheets for my two characters, The dynamics of both drawing characters underwater and dancing, really made me think about how gravity would effect there bodies ( Not really effect). This gave me the opportunity to make some strange poses. However my favourite ones to draw where the two dancing together.

Character Design Expression Sheet

Character Design Expression Sheet The expression sheets where a point of difficulty for me in terms of how the style would look. I don't think I fully understood how to show emotion in a style as economic as the UPA's. I think I should have been braver with the scope and feel of these expression sheets. The freedom the style gave me wasn't used well in the expressions.

Character Design Final Designs

Character Design Final Designs After Developing the Character for a while and trying to bring up the quality of the style while also straying true to its core ideas I have settled on a design for my shark. Following the UPA Style and trying to push it forward a tiny bit. The secondary character is a lot more fluid that the main character. with her being a jellyfish, she appears much more dynamic compared to the shark and allows some interesting dance poses in the musical that is my design conceits.

Pipeline 1: Head Modelling Part 1 - 8

Pipeline 1: Part 1 and 2 Part 1 and 2 involved setting up the scene and blocking out the main shape for the head, this process seemed simple but important to create a good base for the development of the model. Part 3 Part 3 continued the rough blocking stage while also setting up temporary eyes and areas for the mouth and ear. this stage was very simple but took time so it is effective. Part 4 While modelling the mouth I struggled a bit creating a shape o was happy with, however knowing i will return to the mouth when other parts of the model was done made me realise I didn't need to super worry about it and I should move on instead of repeating the same steps over again.  Part 5 The eye was another part I struggled making, needing to revisit it after some time to get a renewed perspective of what I needed to make and how it would be developed later. I found once I saw the later steps I knew what I was meant to be doing in the earlier ones, this understanding gave me more confid
