Major Creature 3 Walk Cycle and Reflection

Creature 3 Reflection:

Creature 3 being the first creature I had fully finished in this project, was a coming together of ideas and goals for myself as well as this project. setting myself the goal of a fulling rigged model was one thing, personally I found it a greater challenge to create quadruped creature using Zbrush and its own methods and work flows to mimic the process of creating these character. I became aware of may of the problems as I proceeded through he pipeline i had set out. many of the problems where self inflicted through no knowledge of the effects they would have later on, however because of this I am more knowledgeable. Overall I really like how the creature looks. On the other hand its design doesn't allow for a whole lot of movement around the legs. But I can see how standing the creature taller may reduce some of the problems I had while animating the walk cycle. Quadruped are strange in how they move but I thing I found a good middle ground for this creature.

The Martian: 3 Act Structure

Film Review: The Martian Finding how the Martian sits into the broader idea of a 3 Act structure was fairly easy, as its laid out narratively in 3 very clear acts. However deciding what part of the movies where what in terms of inciting incident, mid point and Climax where harder Distinctions. Exposition The First scenes of the movie are full of exposition showing the cast on mars taking samples and carrying out other various scientific experiments. The Title along with the design of the set shows this to be astronauts on mars and sets up the location for most of the movie going forward. Inciting Incident This would be where the rest of the astronauts leave our main character Mark Watney on mars after presuming him dead in a storm. He instead doesn't die and manages to make it to the relative safety of the space habitat where he stops himself from bleeding to death. Before the audience is told about marks plans on how to stay alive fighting the main problem he faces in the whole ...

Tool Kit 2: Physical Sky

Tool Kit 2: Physical Sky In this tutorial I learnt about the physical sky in Arnold and how it can be used to easily mimic time of day when rendering exterior shots for animations. Using a variation of elevation, Turbidity, intensity and Azimuth you can create the different angles of sky light you would see in real life. Other settings that can be used to push a stylistic approach include sun tint, sky tint and sun size. These can be used to create strange effects that are stylised and aren't meant to look photo real. Day1. Mid Day. Morning/Evening. Foggy Day. Stylised Lighting.
